Little Hoole Primary School

Enabling All to Believe, Grow & Achieve

Equality Objectives and Policy

Little Hoole Primary School is committed to ensuring that equality of opportunity is available to all members of the school community. For our school this means not simply treating everybody the same but understanding and tackling the different barriers which could lead to unequal outcomes for different groups of pupils in school, whilst celebrating and valuing the achievements and strengths of all members of the school community.

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring equality we have identified the following objectives, most of which are directly linked to our School Aims. They are as follows:

  • Children will feel valued as unique individuals
  • Children will develop a positive sense of self, becoming respectful and responsible citizens who are prepared for life in a diverse and modern Britain.
  • Children will receive great teaching. They will feel supported and challenged.
  • Children will grow in self-esteem as they realise their potential
  • We will ensure good equalities practice in staff recruitment, retention and development.
