Co-Opted Governor and Learning & Development Governor
I became a Co-Opted Governor at Little Hoole in 2024. As a parent of three children across different year groups, I felt a strong desire to give back to the school community and support its Senior Leadership Team in fostering growth and development. My aim is to provide a parent's perspective that spans multiple year groups, while also leveraging the skills and experience I have gained over 17 years as a civil servant.
My career in the civil service has included roles ranging from managing benefit claims to overseeing operations and currently working on customs design. These positions have honed my skills and developed my ability to be resilient, flexible, and persistently positive—qualities that are well-suited to the role of a governor.
In February 2025, I took on the role of Learning and Development Governor to enhance the visibility of learning opportunities available to the governing board and ensure its continuous development in the coming years.
Outside of my governing role, you can often find me in the county's many parks with my children, supporting school events, and contributing to the community wherever I can.
